Vintage 1978 Virginia Slims by Carol Horn Satin Ginny Jump Jacket + Sports Shorts Set - L
This vintage 1978-era Virginia Slims by Carol Horn Collection satin track jacket and shorts set was purchased from a dance studio costume sale in St. Paul, Minnesota dating back to the 1970s. The set was even featured in a Virginia Slims ad! It's extremely rare to find this jacket with the matching shorts.
From the 1978 Virginia Slims ad featuring supermodel Cheryl Tiegs:
“Break a record, jump a fence of skip a rope, with the Ginny Jump Jacket and Sports Shorts from Virginia Slims. Wear them together, wear them separately, wear them wherever you go. Especially designed for Virginia Slims by Carol Horn, the outfit is silver gray and rugby red napped-back satin with snap-down pockets and double-ribbed knit trim on sleeves and neck. The Ginny Jump Jacket and Sports Shorts will bring out the athlete in you for only $22.00* and two pack bottoms from Virginia Slims, regular or menthol.”

Shorts feature:

Condition is excellent. Only potential flaw is that the elastic in the shorts is not incredibly stretchy but it still has some stretch
62% acetate, 48% rayon
Rib trim: 96% acrylic, 4% elastic
Dry Clean Only (fabric will bleed if becomes wet)

Jacket: 43" chest, up to 38" waist, 25" long, 24" sleeve (top of shoulder to cuff) Shorts: 30"-35" waist, 43" max hip, 2.5" inseam
