Vintage 1970s Handmade Mexican Floral Silk & Seersucker Cotton Maxi Dress - XS
This gorgeous Mexican floral cotton maxi dress is perfect for spring and summertime occasions. It features:
• Lively floral / rose print in shades of yellow, gray, charcoal, orange, red, black and cream
• Fit & flare silhouette with empire waist, fitted bodice through waist, and full maxi skirt
• Scoop neckline
• Wide waistband for a slightly empire-waist look
• Short, gently puffed sleeves
• Black ribbon & cream lace trim on neckline & cuffs
• Side zip closure
• Unlined; bodice is slightly sheer
• No fabric label but skirt appears to be a seersucker cotton, bodice appears to be silk chiffon
• Label reads “Genet Ide”
• Based on research into dresses in this style, likely made in Mexico
• Based on the label, style and construction, I estimate this piece dates to the 1970s
• Care: Dry clean or hand wash cold
• This item has been hand washed
Good vintage condition. Underarms have been mended (fabric on bodice is delicate). There is also a mended area on the back of one sleeve with fusible fabric. See detail photos.

• 13.25" across under-bust
• 12.75" across waist (fits up to 25.5" waist)
