About: Emanuel Ungaro was born of Italian parents in France in 1933. Trained by his tailor father, he secured a position with Balenciaga in 1958 and became chief designer of the house in 1960. Leaving Balenciaga in 1964 for a brief stint with Courreges, Ungaro then opened his own couture house in 1965. Ungaro was at first known for his crisp space age tailoring which appealed primarily to the young. Over time, he became more renowned as a colourist, using softer, more fluid fabrics and layered garments. The Liberté line, a casual bridge line tailored for the U.S. market, launched in 1996.

All items are pre-loved. All major flaws are listed, but small blemishes like loose stitches and buttons may not be in the item description as they are to be expected when purchasing vintage items.
